All Star Kevin Durant has been single handedly being taking on the NBA and he did so once again with a new Career High of 54 Points Against the Golden State Warriors. This topped Durants previous season high of 48 points, which Durant set twice (Jan. 4 at the Timberwolves and Jan. 7 at the Jazz).
“I made a few shots and I felt good,” Durant told ESPN during a televised post-game interview. “My teammates were throwing me the ball with two or three guys on me and I still tried to make a play. Those guys sacrificed their bodies setting screens for me, to get me open, it’s my job to finish for them. I saw the bench jump up every time I hit a shot, that’s one of the best feelings.”
Look for Kevin Durant to keep his eyes on the prize and potentially de-thrown the King himself, Lebron James, for the NBA MVP. With Russell Westbrook out until after the All-Star break, Kevin Durant has an opportunity to put on a show for the NBA fans.
