The 27 year old Derrick Rose will look to revamp his career alongside Carmelo Anthony and rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis with the New York Knicks after a today’s trade. The Knicks-Bulls trade involved Robin Lopez, Jose Calderon and Jerian Grant will head to the Bulls, while Justin Holiday and a future second-round pick will go to New York.
This blockbuster deal seems to benefit the Knicks as this could be the 2nd coming of former All-star Derrick Rose. His potential alongside a player like Carmelo Anthony is limitless especially if he can stay healthy as well as confident. Many questioned his mental stability after his injury as he seemed to be hesitant to drive to the basket, but this past season he showed flashes of the old Derrick Rose which quieted many critics.
With Phil Jackson steering the ship, look for more moves to be made at the 2016 NBA Draft and throughout this off season to build a strong supporting cast around Carmelo Anthony and newly Derrick Rose.
