According to sources, the Los Angeles Lakers have made their first move after the Dwight announcement by signing Chris Kaman to a one year deal. The Lakers look to only secure the versatile center for only one year as they are planning on keeping the books open for Summer 2014.
Chris Kaman is coming a sub-par year with the Dallas Mavericks, but he has proved to be a top center in the NBA especially during his tenure with the Los Angeles Clippers.
While Kaman won’t be able to complete fill the Dwight void, this was a great move by the Lakers as the only other center available is Andrew Bynum and the chances they would sign him are slim to none.
Details of the one year contract have not been made official, but expecting Kaman to get a mid-level salary.
