The Lakers President Jeanie Buss will be stepping out of the office to be the keynote speaker during Nixon Presidential Library & Museums Hall of Fame Awards Banquet. While her legacy is still yet to be set as the Lakers have become one of the declining franchises in recent years, many want to know the future of the Lakers but more importantly the future of Kobe Bryant.
Her upcoming keynote will be held at the Nixon Presidential Library & Museum and is organized by Cal State Fullerton’s Center for Family Business where they recognize four Southern California family business for achievements such as continued growth and commitment to the community.
With business being the theme of the banquet, Jeanie will be interviewed by Ed Hart, the center’s director, where they will be discussing how the Lakers family has transitioned since the death of former majority owner Jerry Buss. Also as we mentioned before, the hot topic will be the current state of the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant’s contract.
Look for Jeanie to dance around the topic as we know Kobe will most likely retire a Laker. We know his future will most likely depend on injuries and managements ability to put a good team around him.
