Lakers Sign Nick Young and Wesley Johnson

Lakers New GuardsThe Los Angeles Lakers have taken the exit of Dwight Howard well as they have pushed forward with acquiring new talent with players like Chris Kaman, Nick Young and Wesley Johnson.

The Lakers quickly went after a center and quickly picked up Former Mavs Center Chris Kaman, then they set their focus on surrounding Kobe with scorers so they signed Nick Young  who agreed to a 1 yr deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Reports have recently surfaced that the Lakers have recently set their sights on Wesley Johnson,  the fourth overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. His skill set is comparable to the Former Laker Earl Clark who recently signed with Cleveland Cavaliers.

Can the Lakers muster up enough talent around Kobe and Gasol to compete in the West and possibly get a better seed than the 8th playoff  spot? Based on what Reggie Miller and Steve Kerr think during the Summer League coverage, they believe the Rockets, Spurs, Clippers, Grizzles, and Thunder will be the teams to watch out for.

At first glance, the Lakers have a lot of work to do especially since they lost Dwight and Clark.
