After several days of mourning of his close friend and former teammate Richard Millsap, Majic Dorsey took the court for the first time wearing a Rich headband. Much of his playing career, he’s had to overcome adversity, but none like losing a close friend and family man.
Majic took the court in front of a packed house at the Orlando Magic Recreation Center and put on a performance that will always be remembered by those in attendance and by the family of Richard Millsap. In his first game since his passing, Majic made sure to put on a performance for his friend who has stuck by him since his pursuit to be a professional player with a miraculous 63 points!!!
To make the night even more memorable, Majic made 14 3-pointers and after every made 3 he yelled “Rich!”. In a world where so much of sports coverage is negative, it was a pleasure to cover a performance and an athlete that truly wanted to send a message through a miraculous performance.
Earlier in the month, we coveraged Majic having a 49 point game versus NBA players Chandler Parsons and Courtney Lee. His abilities on the court continue to improve and the international basketball world has taken notice as Majic is currently narrowing down where he will be playing professionally next year.
