All signs pointed to the resigning of Devin Harris to the Dallas Mavericks, but after several exams the team found that Harris has a dislocated toe which will mostly likely require surgery. According to reports, Harris will be undergoing repair surgery on his toe later this month.
The Mavericks remain interested in signing Harris, but will wait until the start of the regular season to see how Harris recovers from surgery.
The Mavs will most likely seek out another point guard as they will also be without Newly signed guard Shane Larkin after reports surfaced that he broke his ankle during Summer League practice. The Mavericks will in theory be down 2 guards. Look for them to make moves to acquire a healthy point guard.
