New Miami Heat star, Loul Deng, held the DENG Camp Top 50 basketball camp in Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in the UK on August 20-22. The camp was a strict invite event for the most talented male athletes aged 19 and under from all over the UK, handpicked through a panel of national and club team coaches.
“We have always looked at doing a camp for the most talented kids in the UK and now seems a better time than ever to do it,” said Deng. “The selected players will take part in a three-day camp got give them an idea of what the next level is. I’m excited to see the camp go in this direction and I truly believe this will have a huge impact on these players and UK basketball.”
Deng averaged over 16 points and 6 rebounds for the Bulls during his first 10 NBA seasons and played for the Cleveland Cavaliers at the end of the 2013-14 season. This year he begins a new career outlook in Miami, and looks to continue the Heat’s success despite a dismantling of their championship teams of year’s past.
